The Diabete Type: Opportunity! (DTO) project aims to break down barriers that limit access for young people with diabetes to educational opportunities offered by the European Union, including Erasmus+ programs. Diabetes often poses significant obstacles for young people wishing to participate in international experiences such as internships, study abroad programs, and volunteering. The main goal of the project is to ensure accessibility to these programs for individuals with diabetes, promoting social inclusion and equal opportunities while reducing the risk of exclusion. The project represents the first step in a multi-year journey, starting with the involvement of Italy, Spain, and Poland, with the ambition to expand internationally in the coming years. This collaboration aims to increase the effectiveness of the project results and remove barriers to mobility for young people with diabetes across Europe and internationally.
